got a call said was from compare energy company - ratteled off a few different names of electricity companies - mine included - said they offer 27% discount but they cant do it as they are not authorised to switch in the ACT and for me to call Energy Australia to get them to give me that discount - not too sure if legit or not but have blocked number just in case - did give my number and street name - hopefully this is the last I hear of them and nothing bad comes from it

Its a company called let us compare they try to sell you energy services and compare to your current provider. When you are ready to make a switch of energy provider, do it on your own as these people want your details and it could be dodgy.

Do not answer this call it's a scam. Block this number right away once you see this phone number. Be careful!

Called me by my wife’s name. F*cken Inidian electricity bill scammer. I knew I shouldn’t have answered, was waiting on another call back and could miss it. Feck off

had numerous missed calls from them, eventually I picked one up. I could not understand what the caller was saying and asked him to repeat 3 times. He got frustrated said I wasn't trying to understand and hung up. All I could get was that he was calling about my recent power bill but he definitely wasn't from our power provider. Avoid/don't call back!

I have blocked this number and hundreds of others. I have had more than 8 calls today, from various dodgy companies that never leave a message. I'm getting sick of it.

Called my work phone specifically to discuss my electricity bill. There is no electricity supplier associated with my work phone number!

This number along with others kept calling and knew my name and was trying to speak quickly and told me that my electricity bills and other bills are overdue!! Wtf then I asked this Indian guy if it was my electricity he’s talking about, and he said yes it is then I said to him to get f*cked because my electricity bill is not in my name and I hung up! I blocked the number and the same number called back. They are nothing but scammers!

Yes, they keep calling me with the Indian accent and I hardly to understand them. It was about selling and discount energy. It is such a rubbish.

Same here. They call me using various numbers incl. this number. Usually they are 02 or 03 numbers. Now I take memo and I am going to report it to SCAM WATCH.

I did called them back to took my number out , What happened next is they called every day and hang up

Caller: A person with an Indian voice

The caller had an Indian accent and asked me about my electricity account. I told him that I didn't have an electricity account ( Some of us are lucky ) but he didn't seem to notice. I told him I was busy getting my car serviced and he asked me, still with an aggressive tone, when he could call me back. I would have liked to have told him there was an honest job waiting for him at the top of William St. but I was in polite surrounds.

Scam and spam. They get your number and call you from everywhere. I grilled a lady about where they are located and she said south Melbourne. I asked her how she had a NSW number. Couldn’t tell me sh*t about Australia. Claimed there were 500 people working with her. Repeatedly harass me from various numbers. Tell me they can get me 30% discount with the same provider. I said I was already getting 30%

Caller: Telemarketer

I've had so many different numbers chasing me recently. Answered this number and they pretty much told me straight away that I was "going to get a 25% discount on your next electricity bill". I really do love Telemarketers but wasn't in the mood for another half hour game on this night so I simply replied rather excitedly, "Oh really, Thanks very much" and I hung up.
