scam constantly

Rang it back. Recorded message, no identification, message that the call is ".......very important to us" - then music plays.
Thankyou for the ID by others - now I can block it.

We have a Telstra Call Guardian phone and the nuisances just never leave their name when asked to or leave a message which is also an option. They just hang up! Then I check with Google to see if genuine, invariably no, select option block number, then option always block number. No more calls.
Mobile phones: Don't recognise number so Google it. Previous comments so:
*** Save the number, give it the name zpest, so all the zpests are at the end of your real contacts ... then press 'done' (up at the top), go down again and press 'Block this Caller' (which is in blue) then press "Block Contact' (which is in red). Done!
This works, after a couple more unanswered tries (because you can see it is a pest) they give up.

What I do now, is answer but don't talk, say nothing! If it's a friend, they would start to talk. It's easy with number display. Don't know it don't talk. If it's, and 99% of the time it's an auto dialer, once you say something, 'basinga' you start them off. Let them waste their money.

I was receiving calls from this number on my landline so I had my Telco block all incoming overseas calls. Now I am getting them on my mobile every 5 mins I have now blocked the number.

This “Compare Energy” call is definitely a scam call. Said I wasn’t the one in charge of the billing in the household, and halfway through the sentence, the lady hung up on me. Clearly not legitimate enough to continue with the conversation.

phone doesn't actually ring but does show up as missed call. Then text message received comes up.

It's because of these scammers that a lot of people have become racists!!!

Scammers. I’m on DNC and this company has called me 20+ times. Different number each time.

Mthafkrs keep calling and hanging up so can't even have fun with the a$$holes. Can't return the call... blocked.

I avoid answering unknown numbers - rarely do they go to voicemail and then usually call centre noise - I do a reverse lookup and then block the number
