Caller: Someone stating they are from Compare Energy

Asian woman rang stating she is representing Melb. Co. ‘Compare Energy’. I asked why number was showing as a NSW number.
This call generated from an auto dialler, I am fairly certain. I am quite sure that this is a scammer - else why would the spiel I received sound so familiar - ‘we are calling everyone in the area’. The Do Not Call Register is another thing by them which is ignored, along with the ability to tell the truth.

While a agree these dodgy calls suck and shouldn't be allowed. Racism sucks just as much.

I have blocked this number and still getting missed calls. Very Strange.
Came back here and saw more people also received the same.
Don't pick up, and please block it.

I have blocked so many numbers like this...how is this allowed to happen? Phone numbers used to be given out only to bona fide companies and private residence. How can Telstra now allow this kind of spamming?

I BLOCK every single numbers i receive from every different Telemarketers Haha. IF ya aint on my contacts list you DON'T deserve ny time of day/night for me to waste my breath on you "IDIOTS".. Hahaha.....

Because you have blocked this number, the calls will not come through. This mob is sending out a text message to suggest you have missed the call hoping that you will return the call to them. This is a message only which suggests you have missed a call.

My phone tells me it is a "Spam- fraud caller" so I decline and hang up, then I block them, and my phone declines them automatically from hereon end. It is the absolute best feature on my phone. So many phone calls is don't have to answer anymore.

Caller: Tax department

Someone called me from this number claiming to be the tax office and I was being done for tax invasion. Claimed I would go to prison for 5 years and a 97k fine , tried to get all my details and ask me to pay fine .... watch out for these scammers !!!
