Had this recorded message around a week ago, sounded like a scam and the discussion here suggests likewise.

Very annoying. I received two calls today on my landline. Called my tax solicitor and asked if any of their other clients are receiving the same and they confirmed that another client has also received this scam phone calls today..
ATO does not used prerecorded messages like this. Do you really think they would call an individual? They would just stick us with some kind of fine if it was true...

calling Canberra business numbers too, surprised the number comes up on caller ID, tried calling it and was engaged. Immediately thought it was a scam but thought I'd comment to bump this up the google search list.

Pre-recorded message about tax invasion and notification of a warrant of arrest. Message asks to call back. IGNORE and BLOCK recommendation. How long has this been going on for?

I've had this automated voice recording call twice today. I've reported it to the ATO. Message claims "to avoid arrest" ring their "Hotline".
