Called the number back and got engaged tone and then the call cut off.

Same annoying number keeps calling random times / days of the week. As a rule I don’t answer calls that are not in my phone book to avoid scammers. f*cking Government really needs to do something about this...since COVID scam calls have increased to ridiculous levels

I suspected it was a scam call, but was feeling adventurous so I answered. There was silence, then a second of what sounded like a recorded voice message, then they hung up.

They called, I never pick up on numbers I don't recognize. I'm unable to block callers on my Telstra home phone. I would like the government to do something about these scammers. They have completely got out of control.
