An Indian guy from Dell Australia call and ask why I purchase another laptop within a week ( I paid both using my own credit card ). I said I bought one for my niece and one for my self. He said you have to make a different mode of payment, we can't process your order. He then hung up without me asking a further question. In Dell online store said anyone can purchase up to 5 units. This Verification team from India is holding grudges against Dell customer.

The Indian male left a voicemail, referring to my "recent Dell purchase" (September 2016 is not recent), specifying that he will be my "sole contact from this point forward" for Dell and that he can get me discounts etc for future purchases. Sounds 100% dodgy. Mispronounced my name, and my business name. Difficult to understand the Indian accent. I highly doubt Dell would allow one person to be a customer liaison.

it was dell confirming details of a purchase. they asked for information that was on the purchase order we had them read it to us and we confirmed.

This number has called me twice (Oct 2016) I am in NZ and bought a Dell computer in 2009. Caller has Indian accent and claimed to be from Dell. Something about order confirmation. Weird.

Purchased a Dell laptop today, received a call from some Indian guy, asking for my address for delivery, told him its the address on the order, when I questioned him about my delivery time he just hung up - rude bastard, is this Dell? piss poor communication, if I knew this i would not have purchased from Dell.

I called back number (02) 8405 5300 rang once then goes to fax tone.

Mike, it is definitely a Dell number, I work for a finance company and they constantly call seeking payment in oustanding invoices with our clients.

Had a call from this number but I was in a meeting and it did not leave a message. Called back later but the line was busy. Tried again some time later and heard a fax tone.

I did buy a DELL computer a few days ago, and explicitly opted not to receive marketing calls. It is concerning if it still happens.

I received a call from this number on Sunday 7th Dec.

The person had an Indian accent. He had some info on my laptop purchase and wanted more info such as my work number and address.

I refused to give it to him.

Reported to Dell this morning and I was told it sounds suspicious. They don't work on Saturday and Sunday.

The question is how did that person manage to grab hold of my data.

Dell. India office trying to reach out to Australian clients. I went back to my local supplier as they are painful to deal with...
