Caller: Supposedly DELL This is a COLD CALL from a Indian woman claiming to be my Customer Service rep from DELL. I purchased my laptop a few years ago and my guess is that a list has been stolen from DELL and now these scammers are trying to gain more details. They have called me multiple times over the last few months (Jun 2019 - Aug 2019 that I remember). I have asked not to be contacted again, but they keep calling back. This time I told them my computer was a Toshiba and they apologised for wasting my time.

Caller: Dell Seems so suspicious like most of these types of calls but as far as I can make out, it's legit. Indian woman saying she could see my purchase (2 years ago) and said she could be a business contact and give discounts. She wanted to start asking about my business but I said I'll contact her when I need to. So she confirmed whether the email address she had was ok (it's one I only use for dell orders) and I said yes. Then within a few minutes received an email. Says from xxx @ dell.com and email headers seem ok. Sign off is: Thanks & Regards xxxx Small Business Advisor Dell EMC| ANZ Small and Medium Business ( : Au 1 (03) 0073 3353 Extn : 8610253,

Dell Australia verification of order, quite abrupt and rude, asking details such as work address, work emails, name of business etc. They will even send an email to your work email and request you reply via your work email.

Caller: Dell (?) - Caller named (Zubair) claimed to be from Dell. He was insistent on obtain further details outside the scope of the purchase order (which already contained my name, delivery address, email contact number). Wanted to obtain home phone number, employment status, company name, company email, length of time - I've been living at my residential address. Seemed a bit dodgy - wasn't a call that I was expecting but the information seemed to check out.

A hard to understand Indian guy called saying he was from Dell. Sent me an email supposedly from “Dell”. Told me that my cc had failed because it was over the limit and Dell wants my works cc number again so he can reprocess the order. I checked with bank and my works cc is fine. I asked him, if he was really from Dell, why does he need my cc number and details again as Dell gas them.
The guy is a con man and suspect the author of that some of these post saying the number is Dell. Dont give anyone details over the phone especially this Indian guy.

Caller: Dell A call from Dell, asking us to make contact - went to voicemail. An abysmal, scratchy line that cut out three times - obviously originated overseas - not a great advertisement for an international IT company, and we won't be responding.

We are receiving no less than 5 calls a day from this number. As incoming calls have to come through a "select area" by the time we answer it at switchboard there is no-one on the line. It is VERY frustrating.
