I called back number (02) 8379 4679 reached iVR for a company called Grab Your Deal.

They called me 3 times this afternoon, at half hour intervals... I didnt recognise the number, so I didnt answer, and no message left - annoying!

Caller: 1st Energy

Call Centre possibly in India selling discounted energy plans for 1st Energy. Told me because I pay my bills on time I was eligible for 25% discount. When I asked how he knew I paid my bills on time he back pedalled pretty quick. When I insisted that he give me his electricity plan pricing I was transferred to the floor supervisor. He gave me the prices and was very rude. After 15 minutes I was pretty pumped that they couldn't answer simple questions about the product they were selling! Waste of my time but it was worth it to get one back.

They keep calling and pretending to be my electricity company, which they aren’t. Block the number.

If you call the number back you get an opt out option .... but you have to complete the call for it to take effect so be patient.

Scam- Called from this number told me that my electricity bill was overdue, thats funny I have enough solar power that I dont get electricity bills - IDIOT

I didn't speak when I answered and it hung up straight away. I do this everytime I get a random number call now.. They hang up after only a couple of seconds.

I get calls from the same electricity company at least once a week block every number and they call again on another number. They are so rude. I am outraged

Fake electricity account scam. block the number. They have many numbers similar to this and switch around frequently

This outfit appears to be based in India further to the range of Indian accents, while it is only linked online to Facebook and Amazon. Their marketing is VERY aggressive, while given this Indian aspect it would seem that the only way to stop these calls is to block them given that they say they don't remove numbers from their list. They might also be scammers further to them offering energy discounts in Australia - so beware!

I have previously received several calls from this number and finally answered it. They claim they are from 1st energy telling me about a 25% discount because I have been a NSW resident for a long time and pay my bills on time.
Interestingly, I only just moved here and the electricity account is in my housemates name.

Definately asking about my electricity, when asking more information the telemarketer from overseas disconnected the call.

Wanted to discuss my energy account. Definitely a telemarketer as there is no energy account in my name
