Call from Indian Scammer claiming to be from Telstra Technical Services. Sam - almost drowned out by another voice from a female over the top of him, probably crammed in like sardines in their sweatbox phony call centre. Said I couldn't hear him and then he hung up.

Scammers from South Asia

Same here. Caller's accent very hard to understand. Call centre noises in background. Said he was from Testra and my internet connection had been compromised. We said we cound not understand him and while he still kept talking we hung up.

This has happened many times before. I answer the phone and say"hello" multiple times after about 20 - 30 seconds there is a short tone burst and a recorded voice says "goodbye". I try to call the number and a recorder voice which I believe is from a telco says " The number you have called is not compatible with your equipment". I see another report re the same number identified it as an Indian voice claiming to be from Telstra. Why have the telcos not gotten together to try and stamp out these local and overseas scammers?

Called wanting to speak with my wife! Wouldn’t tell me who he was! So I hung up and have blocked the number! Very distinct Indian accent
