Started their spiel about the govt's solar scheme.
Hung up and blocked.

Caller: Call centre in India using a NSW number

Indian male heavy accent rang at 6.17pm. Not sure if he was a real estate agent or Government hot water spruiker. Indian call centres are notorious avenues for scammers so I gave him short shrift after listening to his babble for 20 seconds. If he calls back I'll block his number.

Just had a missed call from this number, suspecting scammer as per other comments here and the fact that they me here in Victoria from this Sydney number and also because it was at 2:23pm on a Saturday

When I answered the caller hung-up.

Four missed calls from this number this evening.

I've received about 4 scam calls in the last few hours. This being another one. Did not answer. No message left. BLOCKED

Caller: He knew my name and an address I had 20 years ago.

Generous Government rebates on offer for roof mounted solar panels. Indian accent, very difficult to understand his rapid jabber. I told him to contact my Landlord the retirement village. He hung up.

Unknown number rang during our evening dinner so I refused to answer it. Must've been spam/scam because no voice message followed. I'm turning my phone off in the evenings now to give my family some peace and quiet during the week.
