SPAM CALL FROM UK

Called back after missed call. Couldn't make out the company name. Sounded like (Road K UK) has option to dial 1 to remove number from cal list.

Clint from "Roadcare" just rang and told me i was entitled to between $20,000 - $50,000 as i was involved in an accident in the last 12 months that wasn't my fault. Tried to get details out of me as to which type of car i drive and what the rego was... who ran into me and who they were etc.... BEWARE as it's a scam for personal details.. The number was 0488 827 896

Kevin from Roadcare said that I was involved in a minor car accident. I said "I wasn't", his reply was "He will adjust their records accordingly"!!!!

I had the same phonecall recently from Roadcare??

Road Care rang me to let me know that the minor accident I was involved in, was found not to be my fault, and that they wanted to confirm my address and send me a cheque $20-$30k. I told them that I was in an accident and it WAS my fault. Also that they have got the wrong address and my name is spelt wrong. Then they transferred me to another department who was another guy in the same room with the same South African accent "trying" to put on an Aussie accent, ahhhaa. I knew it was dodge because they said that I had other passengers in the car (not true). Then I asked for the ABN number. They said, "ABN?, uhhhh ... you want the A.B.N number..?" I confirmed this, and the guy said that he cannot give me the ABN as he can't disclose that information, he will have to ask his supervisor. I then asked him if he even knew what an ABN number was. He hung up on me. YAY that was a fun 9 minutes.

Just had a call from Road Care Australia on (07) 3063 6257, telling me that I am entitled to between $20,000 to $50,000, for an car accident I had in the last 12 months that wasn't my fault, they started asking for personal details of my car, Rego etc.

Beware this is a scam for your personal details, I have posted on Facebook Publicly, be careful

Just on the phone to these guys. Same info as everyone else. I had been in an accident recently that wasn't my fault, so was a little more intrigues than usual. Didn't give them any personal details and when I asked for their ABN number so I could verify their details they hung up on me. Scammers!

The VoIP provider for this number is Symbio Networks www.symbionetworks.com . So why not give them a call on 1300 789 653 and ask them to stop the scammers

This is the second time these pigs called me. So today a guy with thick african or indian accent called me asking if I was involved in a car accident in the last 12 months, I asked them why they needed to know. They said they needed to make sure that I as the non fault party get the money back. I asked what money and how much, they said between $20k to $50k. In my mind I was like get lost. Then I said no one owns me any money and I asked for their company’s website. He advised its roadcare.com.au i told them it doesnt exist. And they said thats the domain, and their website is currently under maintenance. I asked them to stop calling me the guys said we are not going to stop calling you until you claimed your money. And that they would call me 3-4 times a day everyday. I just hung up.

Same has happened today and other days previously. He knew my first name but I said I'd not been in accident then he hung up

smooth guy asked if i was Glynn said he was from Road Care and that i had been inloved in not at fault accident, funny thing is a car i own had been but this guy had scammer all over him, ended up telling him i hadnt had a acccident and hung up

Just got a call - calling themselves Road Care Australia now. Knew my name and address

cant wait for them to call me back so i can abuse the sh*t out of the scammers .... i have NEVER had an accident. i have had my license for 6 mths

27th Sep! Yes, just had 2nd call, from same number, operator handed over to a guy called Lloyd Mason saying I was entitled for compensation for an accident in the last 12 months at my previous suburb (they new my nickname but not birth name and old address). I said it was a work vehicle and it was all finalised... he said I was entitled to compensation for inconvenience!!! Sounds very sus!

Roadcare called mobile from (02) 8355 9972 asking about an accident in last 12 months. Pretty sure it is a scam but want to know how the hell they got my home details

Got a scam call from this number just now. Same format as the others, re saying I could get money for an accident. Total bullsh*t. Had my name but no other details. The man calling was South African accented and, when asked, said that he was calling from South Africa. He claimed that Road Care was working with Australian insurers etc. I pulled up this page while he was talking, told him he was trying to break the law by defrauding me and suggested he question his life choices, then hung up.

Lady Scammer with British accent contacted me this morning on this number (02) 8355 9972, she also used this mobile number 0439 375 498. She did know my first and last name only, which I did not confirm. She said she was calling on behalf of Roadcare, believed I was in a car accident in the last 12 months, I said no I have not and this sounded like a scam, she then hung up!

I just got a call while at work. British accented person asked if this was Anne, and idiot me said Yes...then immediately realised that was soooo dumb. It was Road Care UK...ie SCAM CENTRAL...I hung up, but reported to ACCC hoping that they can do something, although not likely. I have blocked that number (02) 8355 9972 from my phone, but I noticed when I went in that they had actually called me 5 previous times and I had not answered. My advice is if you don't know the number DON'T ANSWER IT. They can leave voicemail if it's a genuine call. GRRRR. Feeling stupid. :(
