I received a call from this number 6 times saying that I had a car accident. I called scam watch Australia and reported to them and also blocked this number

just got my 1st call
very wary as my friend got a similar call and within 3 days had a $6000 international phone bill.
pleased to see this doesn't seem to be the case with this number (hers was from a melbourne)

I have has many of these calls from these creeps, usually from a Brisbane number. This time I went along with them, he said I would recieve $20 - $50k paid by cheque, but when I told them my accident was in 2015 they said they couldn't help me, it had to be this year. They also want to know if the police were called orif I reported to them. I 'm concerned that they do know my name and address, I am not listed in the phone book as this is my partners home, obviously our info is onsold from other sites.

These people call my place of work constantly saying one of our employees was involved in a car accident - funny thing is, we don't have a car registered to the business!! bloody scam artists! will make them say the whole spiel before hanging up next time and catch them out on their scam!

they keep ringing. I have rung back and added my number to their Do Not Call listing but they still keep calling.

They have been calling me everyday past week. After 5 rings it stops. Today I picked it up. A female said we are calling from Road Care. This is regarding a accident that you did. I said I don't drive and hung up. I have blocked the number.

Call from this number saying something about an accident. Was aware of this scam thanks to your website and told the caller in no uncertain terms where to go.

This is the 2nd time they have called me....same old story trying to tell me I was involved in a car accident. I just yelled back and told them not to call me again.

SCAM: Were trying to get information from me regarding an "No Fault" accident an employee had as they had a file open on it and just needed to verify some details to release payment......they couldn't provide any information on the accident or the employees name and got quite aggressive with me when I said until they could provide some details I would not release any information. I questioned whether they were fishing for details to submit an insurance claim, but they said no the employee had already lodged a claim....which was crap as we hadn't had an accident claim in years.

These fools called me today, hung up when I answered. I called back on my work phone (No caller ID)they are called Road KUK. I have added this number to automatically reject call. I suggest everyone does the same.

Just had a call "we're calling about a recent small accident you were involved in recently" Told I didn't have clue what he was talking about, he just hung up without saying another word!

(02) 8355 9972 - got the call today, saying I had been in a car accident lately - I just hung up - that is what I do for all those sorts of calls. I don't bother to let them ramble on.

Just had a phone call from this number on my mobile who said I had been in a car accident which was registered as a no fault. They had my name and street address.. He identified himself from a call centre in south Africa and yet the number originated in NSW. I just hung up and blocked. I have never heard of a group called Road Care before.

My question is where do they get these details from to know this information?

Yep said I had been in a car accident recently, when I said I hadn't he said it may have been in the last 12 months and I said no not me.
He said his name was Hayden Smith, but sounded indian or something.
Why can't the government close these scammers down?
