Caller: Origin Energy Dear Origin Energy. Please have the courtesy to leave a message if the matter is important. If you don't, I will assume that the matter ISN'T important, so I won't waste my time calling back. Besides, I do not answer any unknown numbers, especially after having had prior instances of scammers and abusive callers. I am on a payment plan, which you will see if you look at your screens. Cheers BBG

You already do business with Origin therefore they are allowed to call you even though you are on the Do Not Call register. Charities and political parties are also allowed to call, regardless.

Caller: Origin i forgot to pay my bill and I assume they were reminding me. it was a tiny bill but was 3 weeks late, a fair amount of time to wait and a fair amount of time for a reminder. I signed up with origin as they were the only ones who could get my electricity connected the thursday evening before the AFL grand final public holiday. At like 9:30pm they flipped whatever switch needed flipping and we were good to go. NONE of the other providors were even willing to consider helping so Origin arent all bad

Received 2 calls today within 5 minutes of each other, I have already started paying my bill by instalments but they still badger me.
I received an automated call reminding me my bill was overdue by 1 week (ha) the dummies that make the calls can surely see that I was already paying the bill off by looking at their computer screens.
What bothered me most was some automated robot on the other end was asking me for the telephone number that I had used when I opened this account (which was probably years ago) as it followed on from the takeover of Energy Australia and whoever owned it previously, needless to say, some 12-15 years ago when I first opened it.
Not only were they asking for the telephone number, they wanted details of my full name and if I was that person, to press 1 on the phone dial pad, (how easy is that, date of birth, bla, bla, bla, just by entering it into a phone they have most of my personal details.....No wonder we have so much identity fraud in this country.
ORIGIN, You can wait for your money. The remainder will be paid off within the month as promised and don't telephone me or text me because I don't give out personal information willy nilly.to anyone.
You would be wise to take all these complaints on board, operate your business in a professional manner and there would be no need to pay people who work for you in another country disguising themselves as Australian.....Give us credit where credit is due, we are not that easily fooled.

My phone number is on the Do Not Call register, so why is Origin calling me - illegal. I have never been a customer of theirs!

Origin please don't use automated machines to ask if I've paid my bill. Happy to talk to a real person to say I've paid but will be blocking this number now and won't be using Origin in future.
