Female voice Identifies itself as Origin and asked then asked to Press 1 for further details. I've never been with origin and they call me constantly, don't even know how they got my number, nearly over 30 times until I locked that number. Very annoyed

Caller: Claim to be Origin Energy. A robocall. Didn't listen. Indistinguishable from a spam call. Sounds dishonest. Immediately hung up. Why don't the authorities block these clowns. I received three in one day. If it is origin let them send a reminder. Not a call that is identical to a scam.

Caller: Looks like Origin Energy judging from the other comments posted I agree - I do not answer 'unknown callers' because there are so many scammers and generally unpleasant types around who hide their identities and hope to catch you off guard. What I really don't get is why organisations and even government institutions insist on not revealing their identities given the issues i raised above...also it is discourteous.

Caller: Origin Energy Phoned 5 times today by this number (who claim to be Origin Energy) today asking me to press 1 to proceed with the call, then they hang up. Strange my phone number is unlisted, on the do not call list, and is not linked to my Origin account I am reporting this mob to the nuisance call place

Caller: Origin energy...... I doubt it..... Scam. This number rings me, puts me on hold pending someone who supposedly wants to talk to me , then queues me in to a “press 1. For...”, which tells me I owe $200+. Haven’t had an account with Origin for ages. Presume a scam.

Caller: Origin? Told me to Press 1. Why should I respond to unsolicited robotic spam/scam calls? I have 3 accounts with Origin. I will cancel all three now I know that they were actually from Origin. I don’t need anonymous hassles. They seemed fixated on ruining Xmas for their customers.

Caller: Origin Energy Isn't fun when you start getting repeated harassing phone calls for a bill you paid two days prior? Stop if Origin. At the very least, fix your stupid website so you can see when a payment has been made, WHEN it has been made

Caller: Origin Didn't answer but now that I know the call is from Origin I will (if they call again) because I've paid my bill already and don't like being harrassed... why can't they check their records before making these calls?

Caller: Origin Energy Did not leave a message - after using Reverse Australia to check who it was I then called number (Origin) and it was an automated message with reminder to pay overdue bill, which is not overdue!

Caller: Origin They have been calling me and emailing me the past week asking for making final payments on the closed account. WHAT!!! so I ignored it as I never moved to another house, plane or provider. (They must be wrong) Turned out today I called them and talking to someone, not in Australia :( tells me I am now with Energy Australia and to pay my final Origin bill. HOW!!!! I never called anyone and I am still paying Origin every fortnight as the agreed amount. Origin has been really good to me in the past and we have a payment arrangement. Now I am with Energy Australia is [News to me]. I am currently on the phone on hold while I write this, the man told me that change happened last June and is trying to find out more info and come back to me. I would report this as a scam so be ((warned)) Someone at Energy Australia is collecting people's info changing you over to that provider to get a commission out of it and you're left with having to fix the problem. The thing is you will not get any notification by email or letters letting you know this has happened. I am still on hold waiting to find out more info... Just spoke with the man and he said he can only see the change was made in June but there is no more notes as to why and all he can do is escalate this matter but in the mean time I am signing up with a plan again so I don't lose power :/ This all sounds WRONG and I will be going to Anglicare as they have a direct number to an Australian support number to confirm all of this. Not Happy
