Got the same message via text and a voice mail message regarding the +$300 AUD import fees of an order I was expecting (they got the details of my order correct). I’ve never had to pay import fees (usually is covered by the sender etc) like this before and this whole process with the text and voicemail seems really suss and dodgy... Not sure if it’s legit or a scam…

Received call, I asked them to send an email and all the shipping details were correct and the email was from UPS. Paid using Bpay. All above board. Not to say it hasn't been spoofed in the past.

Asking for money due to an import tax incurred. Knew my name and name of my company and that I was expecting a package from overseas.

This appears to be a legitimate UPS number. The voice mail asked me to call back on the legit UPS extension - 131 877 - to arrange additional fees for the import I was expecting. After I missed this call, I got an email from the UPS tracking system saying a rep had tried to reach out to me, so it seems to check out. That said, I was much more comfortable calling the legit extension than I would've been picking up this call, judging by the other comments here...

boyfriend and asked for $250+ claiming to be UPS where as the actual UPS number that calls for claims like this is (02) 8313 3030, one numbers off of the scammer number. do but send them money whatsoever.

Turns out the number is a UPS delivery service number.
I would have thought they would leave a message.

Rang for 4 seconds

range and then hung up after 2 ringd.

The phone only rang once. Then hung up. I didn't call back

Seems to ring a couple of times then stops. Trying to make people call back, saves call costs for some type of scam I imagine.

I called back number (02) 8313 3000 reached voice mail but did not say for what company.
