English-accented "Alan" from "Swift Management" asked for me by name and referred to a motor accident that I have had. (I haven't had any motor accident.) I've had this type of scam call before (but they usually come from Indians), so, as soon as he said "motor accident", I gave him an impolite suggestion and hung up.

I received a call a few mins ago. Didn't know what the hell it was all about. I got the Irish accent. The call went dead within 30 secs. Wanted to check the number and ring back, but what a surprise, the line won't ring.

Had the same message, sorry to say I was not quite so polite, just put it on blocked call list which is getting bigger each month. This site is getting it out there, so thanks to all involved.

Received a call claiming he was from AAP, and that I had been in a accident in the past 12 months. He had no details of the accident, and I am not sure what he was trying to obtain, but I hung up after a few minutes of wasting his time.

This is more for my reference than anything since I keep getting confused with all these different numbers they're calling from. The number (DID) is assigned to a company called Symbio Networks (http://www.symbionetworks.com/) who are a wholesaler of phone solutions and virtual numbers. The account holder under Symbio Networks who is using the account is VOXBOX (https://www.voxbone.com/) who are a UK VOIP provider who I presume are using it through their call centre.
Best course of action is to contact your phone provider and lodge a "Unwelcome Call Complaint" who will raise an official complaint on your behalf to the wholesale who will ultimately suspend the account holder and thus shutting them down at the source. You're welcome.

Have been getting calls from this number every day for the past week, have picked up once and was silence. Glad I checked out the number and saw these comments - I won't be picking up the next time they ring!

i too had a call from this number. irish/ strong accent they said they were a follow up group from a recent accident i had been in. they knew some of the detail, i don't know how. they knew i had been hit up the rear. they then went on to talk about a payout that they had for me. i asked them since when is there a payout (have been hit before and no pay out) they say that it started right before Christmas. i asked what company they are with (didn't say), then asked where he was calling from which he confirmed was Sydney, i then asked for details so i could look them up online, they quickly buffered the question, i then asked which company had organized this - and they informed me that NRMA is funding the payouts. when i informed them that NRMA was not the provider that neither myself nor the person who had hit me was with. they went on to say that (listed a few companies) were all involved. (yes cause my insurance company wants to payout more money than they already have, dumb ass) i then asked how i would go about getting this payment (me being cheeky, cause i know he's full of it). he said that he would confirm the accident details, pass me over to his manager who would then send me through to the legal team. he reconfirmed details of the accident. - eg. was hit up the rear. he then talked about the doctor and my treatment that i was getting from the doctor from my accident, i stated i wasn't getting any treatment, and that he might have the wrong person, when he promptly hung up.

Same Irish bloke wanted to speak with me about reporting an accident. Told him in no uncertain terms I had not reported any accident. He said he would take my name off the list. Now he has verified number and name who knows what scam he will get up to.
