Call received from this number. Advised me that his name was Brian Bok. Provided me with a reference number REF999/TN-61 and a Telstra number and IP address and told me that someone had hacked in to my NBN at 2am and that he was from Telstra. Asked me how many of my wifi lights were flashing and how many devices were connected. Continued to request that I go on my laptop and follow his instructions. I disconnected the call.

Caller: Jenny Nelson NBN (02) 8311 0510 Claimed people were using my internet, I told her she was a scam & hung up so she rang back & assured me she wasn’t. I let her prattle on but couldn’t understand her & made her keep repeating, talk slower & spell things. (While she’s wasting my time I’ll waste more of hers so that stops her from annoying someone else for a while) She named four people who used my internet last night & two today & said the last person was me yet when I asked her did she know who she was talking too she just evaded the question. I told her that it was not me & she assured me it was. That was my maiden name from thirty years ago that I’d never changed in the phone book so I know scammers straight away as they don’t even know my first name. After giving all her details, ref numbers etc. I thanked her & said I would call my provider & check. I checked number here & address she gave wasn’t correct either. She rang again & asked if I rang & verified & I said I checked her number with scam watch & she a scammer. She protested she still wasn’t so I told her she better find out because they are using her & she’s going to be in big trouble when the police get there & hung up. She hasn’t rung again.

Caller: David Paul - Fake person and SCAMMER Hope this information helps someone with these scammers. Fairly long winded but some may find it helpful and may save someone from being defrauded. . Received a landline call from a male with a very strong Indian accent who was very pushy and rude telling me he was from NBN Telstra. He gave my name, address and postcode over the phone. Said that my internet had been hacked at three locations. Two in Victoria, one in South Australia. The address given in Victoria he provided a NSW post code for. I hung up. . He called back. Yelled at me to listen to him. Gave his name as David Paul number 0450 001 620. . Said the call was being recorded for coaching purposes. I told him there was no way Telstra who do not provide my internet service, can see who is using my internet logon. He said Telstra provides the infrastructure for internet and that they see everything that goes online. . He put me onto his 'senior technician' the very Indian accented Brian Pearce. Gave me a telstra reference of Ref:99/TN-61. The same 'unique' reference as others here have been given. . I asked for a phone number I could use to independently verify who he was. He gave me (02) 8311 0510. My internet search turned up this website with all the scams these people have tried using the number given. . Asked how many green flashing lights were showing in my modem. . Wanted to know exactly what was on my screen at that moment. I told him I was looking at a web page warning people that the number (02) 8311 0510 was used by scammers with Indian accents claiming they were from Telstra NBN. He hung up. .

Received call from Ruby Nelson who had Indian accent. She said a few people were using this IP address and doing 'Fibre Swipe'? She quoted job ID number D235642 and Ref 8925621 as proof of being NBN staff. She easily passed the call onto her team manager, Alan Parker, who also had Indian accent. i told him I will pass on their details for my brother to ring them and they gave me (02) 8311 0510. I was hoping they were genuine so I could rebuild my trust in these type of calls... but no such thing.
