Calls from this number claiming to offer legal advice after a car accident. Said they work alongside smash repairers yet couldn't name my smash repairer. Called themselves Accident Advice Bureau. Googled this business name and of course nothing can be found. Spoke to man with English accent. Claimed to be located in Victoria despite Sydney number. Final time he called I challenged him about where he got my name and number from and he hung up. Tried calling the number back about six or seven times and is uncontactable, doesn't ring or connect.

Motor vehicle accident scam. He was unable to give me details he had about my potential accident. Got all flustered when I asked for the details so that I could confirm whether his information was correct. He then tried to tell me he only had my name and phone number and he got flustered even more when I asked him which mailing list he was using. I ended up hanging up on him without providing any information. I guess there must be vulnerable people who get caught by these scams.

Just had a call from them about an accident and that my insurance had triggered some payments I'm entitled to. Tried to get me to agree to "minor discomfort" and go to the doctors, etc. They are trying to lodge a compensation claim on my behalf apparently. I don't know where they get the details from but they knew the accident details, my name, address and clearly my phone number.

Polite sounding Australian accent; wanting to know if I was involved in an accident and awaiting a payout. I'm sure if I said "yes" they would try to obtain my details . . . So many horrible people out there
