Called Telstra to let them know problem has been rectified and no longer need tech to come tomorrow. Thinking my call had been disconnected (high pitched tone) I hung up. Meanwhile this number was phoning my mobile. I spoke to a lady with an accent impossible to understand, apparently from Phillipines. What would normally take a few second to give the info required takes 10 minutes. Hopeless!

I've had multiple 'no caller ID' calls to my Optus mobile over the last 24 hours. When I answered the call disconnects. Tonight I got a call from this number and it disconnected too. I called back and ended up speaking to a non Australian who said he worked for Telstra T-Box support! He recommended I call 132200 and advise Telstra of what's going on... Coincidentally I just identified a number that had been calling on my Telstra landline 3-4 times a day for the last month as TCS Telco group who do telemarketing for Telstra. I lodged a request with both TCS and Telstra to stop calling to try and sell me stuff. All of a sudden I'm being call-bombed on my mobile! I'll be contacting the Telecommunications Ombudsman to register a formal complaint.

I just phoned them back and told them if they continue to call I will file harassment complaints with the Telecommunications ombudsman. I went on to tell him that we left Telstra because they were billing us for items we didn't consent to having.

Telstra is being dishonest in saying it is not Telstra calling from this number. I have a complaint lodged with them at the present time and clearly stated I wanted a response in writing... they disregarded this and phoned me FROM THIS SAME NUMBER, advising they were from Telstra. I told them not to call me and respond in writing and have been harassed with calls from the number since. In fact, I just got another call from the same number now, which prompted me to google it to see who it was. In the mean time, as I didn't answer the call, they text and clearly advised they had just tried to call me... stating they were from Telstra. I've not only complained about them not addressing my complaint, but now about them harassing me with unsolicited phone calls. Telstra are liars!

Gooday. I just looked this number up as I have been charged $21 for talking on this line. I thought calls to service faults were free.

Legit call from telstra as they were responding to a fault report I made earlier. They're just trying to do their job!

Got a call from this number last night. The Phillipino(?) girl said she was from Telstra. She was to talk to me about a problem I logged in late December. She had scant details and I asked her which one of the many problems that I logged was she talking about. She was unable to do that. She was vague & confused when I said I'd had Telstra already fix the problem, including a visit from a Tech. The issue that I suspect she was talking about was closed earlier yesterday (twice) by both customer complaints & tech support. Very sus.

Well it possibly is Telstra; I had three calls this week left on my mobile phone from this number which might relate to a problem of a month ago when I spoke to the Philippines BUT I am not going to phone 101 back to any of these calls. They have my landline number and my email they can use those instead. Thanks for the blog.

(02) 8302 6100 is actually on of the the Telstra Outsourced number. Whenever an outsourced department calls into Australia it shows up as (02) 8302 6100.
In this case (02) 8302 6100 is the department in the Philipines. The company name is Teleproformance.

this is just telstra's call back number when there is a problem with your account or if they are returning a previous call.

If it is a genuine Telstra number, why does it not show the number on the screen? I don't answer any numberless calls even if they are from family,

If you call Telstra and query a number on your bill, Telstra will attempt to call that number on your behalf so they can trace it. The number they call from is this number, (02) 8302 6100. Nothing to fear ;)

This is a Telstra number. I called 132200 and was directed to a lady with an accent. I had troubleshooting problems with my modem. She took my details and told me she would call back when she had someone from technical support on the line. Sure enough this number (02) 8302 6100 called back and it was her again, she then put me on to tech support and left the conversation. I just looked it up because it tried to call me then at 9pm and I thought that was strange but going through my call log I realized it was the number that she called me on. Must have been calling for a follow up to see if my problem was resolved. Sure enough just called it back (it is now 11:21pm EADST and that was exactly what it was.

Genuine Call from Telstra callback centre
Posted on November 17, 2014 Caller type: Event Reminder Location: Australia
I got a missed call, I rang back but knew it was a call centre so hung up. They called me back, I answered and it turned out the faults technicians had asked them to give me an update on fixing faults I'd reported, the fault is going to take longer than normal to fix as it's wider spread than thought due to lightning :( So although it was a telstra call centre it was genuine this time.
