Caller: Fraud company used by banks Not a scam. But if in doubt, call your bank using the phone number found on the bank's website and ask them to confirm the number is genuine.
This is a legitimate fraud detection company contracted by smaller banks who don't have their own fraud team.
I was suspicious when contacted by this number, but they didn't ask for any personal details.

Caller: Cuscal (Banking Provider) Legit call - I made a large "fast payment" bank transfer (the maximum allowed each day) as part of moving my funds from one bank to another... this transaction was declined for some reason, and a phone call from this number followed minutes later. A member of their bank fraud team, to follow-up on the transaction in case it was fraudulent. Good to see they're on top of things and actively keeping an eye out for any possible dodgy activity!

Caller: Fraud This is a legitimate Fraud Department (Cuscal Ltd) that calls on behalf of multiple Australian Banks - had a missed call and a message to call them - staff were helpful and very understanding when I was hesitant to give any details - suggested if I wasn't comfortable to call the bank directly - which I did and there was a hold on my card because of a suspected fraudulent transaction.

Caller: Fraud Bureau Service Legitimate call. They left a voicemail to call back "Ubank Fraud Monitoring team on 1300 705 750". Obviously I called uBank directly instead. They confirmed they do have another company calling on their behalf out of Sydney (02) or sometimes routed through Melbourne (03) and confirmed "1300 705 750" was safe to call back.
Checked my account and yep, unauthorised transactions.

Caller: Apparently it was someone from Cuscal - my Visa debit card had been blocked for reason unknown to me. I received a call from this number, which I didn't pick up, as I didn't recognise it. Earlier today, I'd contacted my credit union (Peoples Choice) about a transaction on my Visa debit card, which was apparently blocked and which left my card unuseable.. Later today, after receiving this call, I rang the number and was not sure it was legit because they didn't identify themselves, but asked for a callback. Some bloke called Jason returned the call some time later and after a brief conversation, we terminated the call. Still not sure why anyone other than my credit union would have rung me. Stay cautious, people.

Caller: Fraud Company I received a phone call which I didn't answer as I didn't recognise the number. They left a message which included my name and bank institution requesting that I contact my banks fraud line on a different number. After verifying the number they provided was legitimate and listed on my bank's webpage, I gave them a call and it turned out there a suspicious transaction from America on my card. I believe this number is a fraud company used by banks but definitely verify with your bank first.

Caller: Cuscal Ltd Legit Fraud company... They called but didn't leave a message. I called back but was scared but was wary. They answered as a Fraud company and to press a certain number depending what I was calling about. I warily pressed a number and got a voice message person on phone and to leave my number. Interestingly their name was not on voice recording. So I left a message not stating my name but said they called me on my number and to call me back. I hadn't heard back hours later so I googled number. Found mixed reports of them being legit but others saying scam. I called my bank which is a credit union and explained what happened. Yes they were legit and was a fraud company for them. Someone had tried to use my card fraudulently but my bank blocked the transaction and wanted to confirm with me. Card has now been cancelled and a new one issued.

Caller: Fraud Department BCU Received a missed call and returned it and spoke to a lovely Australian guy. Legitimate fraud department for BCU bank who said a ‘real estate company from the United Arab Emirates’ tried to make a large deduction from an old bank account I hadn’t used in months. Thankfully no funds were in the account. Cancelled the card over the phone. Very helpful!

Caller: Cuscal Ltd Legitimate. They told me they blocked a suspicious transaction from an American website about 3am and said I should cancel my card and order a new one. I thanked him and said I'd check with my Credit Union who investigated and then confirmed that the card had been compromised. Cancelled and a new one ordered straight away.
