Definitely has a legit cover which is an Amazon flex driver, my guess is it's a third party aggregator who then call you to socially engineer some more information from you to sell onward. Why ask me to confirm my name, it's on the package... Tells me that they want to reconfirm information and number activity for resale. Beware delivery is legit from a flex driver but you're probably getting your information leaked to the scammers that have been oh so prevalent lately

SCAM. Here's why. Got a call from a lady first who was clearly outdoors from the background noises. Who uses a landline to call from the street? The customer name stated was of Asian origin. I'm not Asian so clearly they were phishing for something. I don't have an Amazon account. A second man intervened while I was talking to the lady - does Amazon use 2 people to deliver a small package?

I thought this might have been a scam due to some comments on here, so I wasn’t helpful to the poor Amazon guy on the other end (didn’t help that he had an Indian accent). I couldn’t remember ordering anything from Amazon, but then the actual driver texted and gave enough details that made me remember my SIL sent direct to me as a gift. I texted back in time for the driver to deliver. He asked if I received calls confirming and I told him I did but it was his text that made me remember what it was.

So it’s not the driver calling, it’s Amazon calling on behalf of the driver. That’s why it’s the same number. The driver used his own number to text. Out of desperation to deliver the package.

So this is a legit number. They have another number too 79087117 if they can’t reach you with the first.

it was amazon, i got a call at 7:40pm on Sat in Adelaide showing the call was in Sydney. I ignored the call then got a message from a local mobile and at the bottom of the message said "out side" went out the front and found the delivery guy with my $20 pillow.

Number showed Amazon Sydney and I'm in Melbourne so initially didn't respond. Received a text saying he could not find my house

Real number. I ordered something from Amazon for same-day delivery. The delivery person called me on this number and asked me to come down to collect the parcel. All normal, legit phone call.

Definitely scam call. Says it’s Amazon for delivery but I didn’t purchase anything on Amazon. Amazon say this number is not theirs. And how could all the drivers call from the same number? The entries saying it’s legitimate are made the the scammers themselves. Sneaky low lives.

How could every delivery driver with Amazon be phoning from a Sydney landline number? It doesn’t make sense. Either does the fact that I didn’t order anything from Amazon so why would a delivery driver be contacting me? The people saying this is not a scam number ARE the scammers. Amazon stated that they are not associated with this number.

Amazon delivery driver called to say that he was unable to get into our building to drop off a parcel that we were expecting. We went downstairs to meet him. All legit and above board.

A lot of entries here from the scammer pretending to be Amazon!!! I got a call from them as well which I didn’t answer. Never shopped with Amazon!
Watch out for this scammer!!! Very clever scammer, but think about it:who would look up the number here that they trust? No, you don’t scam me!!!

I got a call from this number (02) 8294 8295 Amazon Delivery. I don't shop with Amazon. He knew my name & po box address. I told him I don't shop at Amazon. He said going drop in at post office. I said has this product being paid for drop it off post office. So can check where it has came from...
