Caller: Amazon Legitimate Amazon call in august 2024.
Yes, was 02 area code- and I am in 03. So don't worry, it's Amazon and about to deliver. Which can be, any parcel their network accepted, not just purchases from Amazon direct (see other comments regarding eBay).
Delivery driver was at the doorstep, and was making sure I was able to accept delivery, as it required a code for security.
He'd knocked and I was on the way when phone rang. So down to the second. Not a scam.

Caller: (02) 8294 8295 Guy rang saying he was from Amazon and had a package. He started rattling off all sorts of streets and suburbs. I spelled my (5 letter) address phonetically but he said he didn't understand but said he would try. I checked the number and it said Amazon. I checked Amazon and have nothing on order. Guy rang back and we danced the tango again. He wanted me to txt the address but I refused. In the end he gave me his nr : 0434 100 639 and I texted my street name only. Never heard from him again. All the Amazon packages I ever received (and that's a lot) have always been clearly addressed.

Caller: Amazon Definitely Amazon. 10pm at night so didnt answer the phone. No message. Asked my husband to go and check and their was a delivery driver with our deliveries which were slated for delivery tomorrow. It's dark, wet and foggy and he clearly couldnt see the doorbell on our gate. Actually even the dogs didn't hear him!

Caller: Amazon Definitely Amazon driver, wanted to confirm he had the right unit (my address can be confusing). Described my front yard correctly and told me he was leaving the parcel next to my umbrella.

Caller: Amazon Checked this site and most comments referred to Amazon. Since I'm waiting for a package. I called back, and got a recorded message saying that they tried to contact me about my delivery. The voice mail directed me to their website. I had to manually connect to track my parcel.... there was no link given to me during this entire process.

Caller: A fellow apparently from Amazon This hent called me thus afternoon while I was driving. Said he was from Amazon. Many long pauses in this conversation made me highly suspicious.. I was not happy as I wasnt expecting any deliveries and have had had previous deliveries without phone calls. I said I wasn't expecting deliveries and said I was ending the call. There has been no further communication from Amazon (I checked the site and my emails)

Caller: Amazon Genuine call. Just rang me three times immediately but I dont usually answer numbers I don’t know. Three times, one after another is unusual, so I answered. The gentleman said who is was (Amazon delivery) and then advised me that my settings state that deliveries to my address is only possible by 5pm. He said he would be there 5:30-6pm. As my shop will be closed at that time, he requested to deliver the following day.
Great communication. I will save the number

I have all unknown numbers immediately silenced so until my ring doorbell picked up that someone had dropped off a package. I wasn’t aware I’d had a missed call. No Voicemail was left. When I went to the front door to collect my Amazon parcel which I could see in the ring doorbell video it was the guy had then come back to the door. He was unsure of where he was delivering to. He says it was a new job and was inexperienced apologised greatly for any bother and he had dropped off one parcel taken it away then brought my correct parcel and placed it at the door or within minutes and was trying to phone me to confirm this. no harm done but my suggestion would be when you people leave Voicemail please
