Missed a call from this number, but using a NSW area code (02) to ring a Victorian number is a dead give-away that the caller is a telemarketer.

Far out, I know it's RSPCA Pet Insurance. I've already gone with a competitor. If I wanted a thousand calls back I would have bloody ASKED.

I am disappointed because this might affect donations to RSPCA who do marvelous stuff for animals. I will continue to support them, but pet insurance when you have more than 10 animals is ridiculous... please keep supporting this organisation, but do go to their website and complain about marketing calls.

I keep receiving calls from this number which I believe is rspca pet insurance, however I do not have any pets or any virtual pets. There is NO way they can say I filled out a form for a quote. They are randomly ringing and should be stopped, where is our toothless government? Why do we continue to receive unsolicited calls?

This is RSPCA Pet Insurance, and if you have placed an ad on Gumtree lately and then filled out the questionnaire to 'win 50K just by placing an ad' then they gather your infomration from there. It might ask something like 'do you have pets? if so, how many.' Once you submit, this info is sent to appropriate companies to call you for sales.

I just got a 12 week old pug, so we wanted to get insurance for her. We got quotes from all the big brands like RACQ, BUPA, RSPCA so on. They have called me for the past week at least 4 times a day and I am so annoyed. We ended up going with BUPA! RSPCA you're giving yourself a bad name.

RSPCA Pet Insurance
On the quote page it says:
"You consent to receiving a telephone call from us for the purpose of providing an indicative quote. Your information may also be used to provide you with offers to our other products, but you can opt out of this when we contact you or by calling us on 1300 881 492/">1300 881 492. We are unlikely to disclose this information to any person outside Australia. You can obtain a copy of our Privacy Policy, which includes details of how you can access and correct your information and complain about breaches of privacy law, on this website or by requesting a copy."
Note: "You consent to receiving a telephone call from us".... a = 1 not 20 in 24 hours
Call 1300 881 492, press 1 and tell them to put you on a no-call list.
Technically what they are doing IS illegal because they are breaching their own policy by making several phone calls instead of a phone call.

These people are the most persistent callers I've ever come across, calling me every day and sometimes more. They've even started calling me at 8pm. Because of this annoyance I will not be buying their product.
