Shd have checked this out long before getting a currency debit card w/Citi.
Just about to go into 2nd week of complaint re: funds transferred via Osko "normally transmitted in minutes," but not yet available.
Monday I sent a "don't bother, send me all funds, close my account" email. This call today undoubtedly the f/up. 3days later.

Caller: Philippino female claiming to be from Citibank Knew my name and wanted me to confirm it. I just asked what was this about. She claimed some correspondence to do with my back account had been returned. I said I did not bank with Citibank. She claimed the correspondence had been returned three times! I do not bank with Citibank I said. It was a cheque she claimed! I hung up.

Caller: (02) 8288 02290 I'm glad i didn't answer. I do have business with Citibank and just redeemed some rewards. If this was legit they should have left a message. But I'd like to add that Citibank has been the worst bank and has the worst website of any bank I've ever dealt with. I think they started out as a "big business" bank but their entry with home investors never worked. They have NO idea how to give customer satisfaction. Stay away from them if you can.

Worst bank every, have an account with Citi for more than 10 years for direct debt only and transfer money into my account to keep for more than 10k so not charging me the account keeping fee. they never paid me interest, never asking anything, suddenly received a letter saying they were going to suspend the account if I do not do this & that, done all what they said, still sent me a letter saying no good, asked me to call their customer service line, which is in overseas. called the line and they told me to send the paperwork again, all they did was bounce back & forth , so you getting nowhere and they want to keep your money. never want to deal with Citi bank again

Caller: Would Not Readily Identify Himself Very Strong Asian Accent - Could not understand him and had my Wife Listen in to Decipher. Claimed he was calling re Correspondence with my Bank (Which one I have three?) Would not say what it was concerning! Asked for Specific ID. I declined to answer any questions or provide info. Really if this is a Banks Customer Service they need a massive re-think.

I rang back (02) 8288 2290 and the male person asked if I have a CitiBank Card. I just told him that all is sorted out by the mail. This does not sounds good for any bank to call its customers. 14/04/2021.

Caller: Citibank Worst bank ever to deal with. Can't understand them, echos on the line, say they'll call back but never do. Can't get a case manager to own resolving my problem which they have created. THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF THE WORD CUSTOMER. I lodged a complaint last night with the AFCA (Ombudsman). Caller: (02) 8288 2290 My phone rang twice but had hung up as I answered. Redialled the number and explained what had happened. I was asked if I had accounts with a variety of banks, lenders, including Bank of Queensland, Citi, Virgin Credit, etc. I picked one I had an account with and explained again what had happened. I was then asked for my name, credit card number and or account number. I hung up. If they’re legit why not wait until you answer rather than hanging up after 2 rings and expecting you to blab all your info without verifying who they are?

Caller: supposedly Citibank They rang and knew my full name and that I'd recently emailed, but asked for details for verification, which I declined, indicating I couldn't verify who they were. If it's legitimate, it's a truly irresponsible way of going about business, as it just encourages individuals to reveal personal data without knowing who's actually calling. (She also sounded like she was outside in windy weather, which didn't aid credibility.) I was polite but requested they put it in writing.
