I received two missed calls from this number. Called back and noted they are a life insurance company. I did not provide them my details and concerned where they got my number. Left a message on their answer machine to be taken off their database. A bunch of crooks. Dont answer their calls!!!!!

calls in the past few
days..

You would think that ANZ would do something about it.... After all it's their name being used in this scam, I know I wouldn't want my business name and reputation being used in a telemarketing scam.

I'm getting this daily too. And on some occasions I get the unknown number. Usually larger call centers need to have a land line number attached but if they hire a small call team/business they can use the unknown numbers.

Daily calls from this number, they never leave a voicemail and hang up on me when I do answer. Something needs to be done, its so annoying!

For about six weeks now I am getting at least to phone calls from this number per week.
The interesting part of it is: I never gave my fairly new mobile phone number to anybody except of the ANZ Bank.

I too am an ANZ customer, and am shopping around for a new bank and mortgage as we speak. Just one more reason to hate ANZ. Why call and hang up? So that I pay the long distance charges? f*ck ANZ

I regularly get calls from this number. It is a pain in the ..... Unfortunately, nothing we can do about it don't think. I just never answer, see if they can give that information to the business they are working for. Of no value to them.

I've received many phone calls from this number and I don't want to talk to them..Not interested.! What can I do to stop them calling me?? I have filled out a form on Goverment site about it but still getting this calls!!!!!!!!

We all know this number is a prank call. What is the purpose of this forum- no solution to the problem whatsoever?

Calls from (02) 8282 2800 began on the 01/03/2012 and since then I receive them on a daily base. I have no idea who they are as there never a voice message left on your mobile if you miss their call or anyone on the opther end when you take the call. Also tried to call them back and their answering recorded message says something about insurance. I am really tired of this pointless spam calls and would like to stop them if it is possible. Please assist if you can. Many thanks in advance.

Calls to my mobile from (02) 8282 2800 started o 1 March 2012 and since then they call me on a daily base. They never leave any voice message. When you answere the call, thereis no one on the other end. Just end of call. When you call back only recorded voice message saying something about insurance(no company name or a person name).

I have received calls from this number a few times. The first time I rejected the call as I was unable to take it. I have "call catcher" on my phone and it told me to call the number back, I did, only 5 mins after the original call, only to have a recorded message saying they were a life insurance company (no name) and no one was in the office. I hung up. I now ignore the calls. If I want something, I call the company, I really don't like them calling me.

Have started getting calls from this number also. It would be a telemarketing company of some sort possibly acting on all of the above companies. It would be an automated dialer that just calls numbers and creates a report showing the times that when they have called it was answered.

I received this phone call last night. Just call the number back and when you get put through to someone ask that they don't call you again - I also stated I was signed up to the do not call service and have never given my number to that company. The company sells products (Guthrey Rankin - or something similar to that).
