Yeah. I got close this morning at 0921hrs with a call from (02) 8277 6541. I'll ring it later today in my free hour on my mobile. :-) Bet I get no answer.

I am guessing they are either charities calling or their automated call system to either a) check what time of the day you are home so the telemarketer can call at the appropriate time or b)the telemarketer is calling you.

I saw this number on my phone's caller ID from while I was out, decided I'd look it up first, no clues on here as to who it was, so I hid my ID & rang it.
Turns out it's part of the SES Volunteer fundraising service, or at least one of the extensions used by the company making the calls selling raffle tickets for them. But, it's only a recorded message, & it gives you a phone number to ring if you want to buy raffle tickets.
