SES - State Emergency Service charity raffle

Call is from Contact Centre Australia, Call centre is calling for State Emergency Service Volunteers Association.

Call the centre on 1800 377 000 and demand to be removed from their list and be placed on their exclusion list.

CCA manages the outbound calling for the State Emergency Service Volunteers Association fundraising raffles. The SESVA raffle has a team of 65 callers. The calling is for the State Emergency Service Volunteers Association, not the SES as you think of them. None of the money goes to equipment, or any emergency services.

We keep receiving calls from the number above all the time looking for h people that lived here 12mths ago, We have told them thay don't live here anymore & gave them there mobile number but still ringing constantly told them we are not interested as we don't give to charity's & im starting to think it could be a scam 😡

Yes it is a fantastic organisation & hopefully we won't need to call on them but I give to my chosen charities what I can when I can.

New South Wales State Emergency Service do not ring around infact no one phone call centre uses (02) 8277 6521on behalf of a Charity In Australia they do all charties these day raise funds at local shopping center's, hospitals and schools i would treat this as a scam from start to finish.

The SES is government funded. They don't raise money this way.

I called back number (02) 8277 6521 reached voice mail for a company called NSW RFSA and they called regarding a fund raising raffle.

WOW....charity raffle seller....told them not to call again....but keeps calling ....will notify relevant authority...Big thank you reverse Australia

I may be wrong but as I understand it State Emergency Services DO NOT operate charity services so it would be a scam?

It's a call centre used by NSW State Emergency Services for fund raising. As suggested by Ian A above, I just called 1800 377 000 and requested my number be removed from their calling list....no dramas. Hopefully that'll end the constant calls!!
