Repeated calls, unfamiliar number so not answered. Finally got a message it was from "Diners",not Diners Card.I have never used either. They claim "account query" I think it is a fake fishing for details.
My phone is a personal item accessible to selected verified people who use same for only approved predetermined activities
It is not a public toilet. Vague, incomplete, trawling catch phrases",you are in danger of being robbed,I wish to check account details",are all comments worthy of my next action when I push the "flush" button, and send their message to the sewer.
Those who know me ,do and dont have to ask details.
Those who dont know me,you dont matter.,dont bother again.

Received an almost incomprehensible voicemail from this number claiming to be an urgent message for my name in full and telling me something like this is Nash Computer Credit Card Security and to please call the number on the back of my credit card. There is no number on the back of my card. The caller had such a strong accent that I doubt anyone would employ her to work in a call centre in an English speaking country and it appears to be a Sydney number!

Called, left no message.
Possibly credit card related, but whatever, they are clearly not concerned with good PR.

This is NOT a scam. The message left by the caller was to call the number on the back of our Suncorp Credit Card. I had bought 5 x $390 items and this rang some bells. If anyone ever tells you their from your bank, call the bank.

Just had a call from that number from someone claiming to be from Citibank asking me to confirm part of my account number. I turned the tables on her and asked HER to confirm who she was and asked that she tell me some details about me as it was HER that rang ME instead of the other way around. She then hung up on me.
I then rang my bank and they confirmed that they had indeed rung me, so now all is OK !

Legit (at this time anyway) - it's Citibank alright having a customer service fail. Their card security phoned to confirm the legitimacy of some transactions from 1300 550 216, and unless someone's completely compromised my account there's no way they could know the line items I've purchased (note they were offshore). I've received phone calls previously from Citi on other offshore purchases (flights and such). Their messaging and security procedures make it should dodgy and I've reported so and this left me suspicious and wanting to cancel the card.

100% OK, called citibank direct back, checked this number was fine and it was there security team making sure my last transaction was legit.
Duncan
It is Citibank, but you are best not to divulge information to the operator, but rather name the call to their Citibank Group Security Team in Sydney on 1300 550 216

Legit call. I ignored the number on my mobile, but then got a call immediately on my home phone. The call was about possible fraud on my credit card, for transactions I'd attempted to make no more than 15 minutes previously, with a US company. The caller identified as being from Suncorp, who my card is with, but they do use Citibank for their cards. The information the caller asked for to verify my information was also very broad - postcode and month of birth only, so nothing that could personally identify me.Nothing dodgy about this call, their reason for calling tied in with my activities at the time and use of my card.

Phising scam to get personal info.
Using citibank credit card fraud as a ploy to get info
Very non-aussie for a supposed 02 number...
reeks of scam

Agree it's most likely a scam call.Way too indian/asian poor english to be legit for an aussie call .....prolly spoofed the caller id too to try and look real. Not enough detail given when the caller is queried hard.

I made my mum ring Suncorp back and it turns out, the man works in their head office. They had realised someone had leaked her credit card info.
I feel better that I made her ring the bank and double check!!
Remember, if you're I'm doubt, call your bank, but you should NEVER give your details to someone who CALLS you.
