Yes I got a call from this number and it was from the state emergency service fund-raising selling raffle tickets.

This number got my answering machine and didn't leave a message. Typical call centre behaviour.

I frequently get calls from RFS to raise funds via raffle tickets, but very often the number varies. I've had RFS calling me from 8524 5945, 5954, 5933, and 8268 1888, 8218 4800

selling raffle tickets for SES..looking into the history, they sold raffle tickets last year..i wonder if that was the same draw? How can you possibly know who this is - only a crazy lunatic would pass on details..he had an american accent, that (DIDNT) help my decision of NO THANKS. Prefer NOT to get these calls. When i want to donate money to someone, it wont be to a cold caller ringing my home phone. The marketing failed. SORRY

They have called me twice form two different numbers: 8218 4800 and 4850. Must be a call centre with a contract as the reasons for the call change. I have just put them on my contact last as "Do Not Answer"

Got a call from this number. The caller did not leave any message.

I just got a phone call from 8218 4809. I was on another phone call and it was diverted to message bank. I tried to call it back several times but my service provider never even provided me with a dial tone. I suspect that this service is merely one way. Telemarketers prefer their scripts to be ready so they have the upper hand in negotiations. They don't want someone calling them back because they won't even have a clue who they are! The last thing a telemarketer wants is an instant lack of rapport!

I just got a call from this number - selling raffle tickets for Rural Fire Services. I'm happy to purchase tickets to support the RFS - but not going to give credit card details over the phone until i know for certain it's not a scam, so they're sending me details.

Hey I did a bit of research,http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/724300.htmlthese guys have been getting a similar thing from a different phone number (but similar).It seems to be an autodialler for a tellemarketer, call your phone company and make a complaint, it seems to work.  Be hard on your provider too, coz it seems that they have sold you information, in some cases to an affiliated company, so they won't try to resolve the problem unless you kick their a****!Good luck, these numbers seem to change every few months or something.

Everytime I answer they hang up. Called the number back and its a recorded msg from a call centre saying that they are Sydney based and then it hung up. Would love to be able to speak to someone and give them a a go about their harrassment
