but what is important to know is that it is illegal under the accc credit laws, to call someone's neighbor to entice them to get the next door neighbor to call them.
credicorp have been fined severely for doing this illegal harassment before.
they purchase outstanding debts from banks credit card companies for a fraction of the debt value but try to collect the debt for its full value. i call this fraud and and a complete con. imagine buying a $10000 debt for $1000 then chasing the debtor for $10,000 plus interest from the time the loan became delinquent.
in summary they buy debt for nothing but chase hard for the original amount in some cases they ask 1500% more than they paid for the debt,
So pay them nothing say nothing admit nothing, if they are calling you your name is mud anyway with VEDA for 7 years from the date listed.
So there is no benefit to you by paying these monkeys, because your name will not be lifted until the 7 years.
Also lookout for companies like ACM same sh*t different stink. you've all been warned.

Called me asking for contact details of a friend. When I asked who they were, refused to answer. I asked her name - sounds like CJ. Asked where they got my number from, they advised it was listed on a document. I then asked her to send me these 'documents' that have my details and she seemed really confused. Told her not to call again. Seems like a scam

Calls come on a monthly basis asking for a family member by name. All voices sound the same, this latest one was "Kath", all questions are the same. When I ask the nature of the call I am told it is private. I have been asked to supply the person's mobile number, but because I don't know who is calling I have refused each time. Then I am asked if she can call me back. All callers have Asian sounding voices.

Got a call from "Lot" from 'credit corp' apparently. She got irate and pushy when I wouldn't disclose my personal details to her. Originally called off a mobile number, then sent me this number via text. Seems like a scam.

This number has called me asking about my neighbour. Gave no information - told them I would report to 'police' -- they have not rung again (so far).

Same thing is happening to me. These people are harassing my family. I called back but they won't tell me which company they are calling from. They want my personal information first. Beware people.
