SICK OF SCAM CALLS ?

If you receive one of these calls and think its a scam Just tell them you have to answer the door , ask them to hold for a minute and you will be back , Go and have a coffee ect
When you do return I bet they have gone ( if these calls give you the sh*ts Now they may have the sh*ts also )

I just added this number to my "Add to Auto reject list" on my mobile.......works a treat......

Called me saying they were following up on a car accident i had 3 years ago, but i have not had a car accident for over 5 years. This is a scam, BEWARE!!!!

The caller from this number is a lady (asian/Phillipine-Thailand kind of accent). Claims to be a consultant of Independent company who looks after motor vehicle claims and compensations. You ask her probing questions how she got the number, why she is calling and she gets arrogant and hangs up.

Got call several times but when I picked up speaks nothing and hanged up. Initially I didn't picked up the call as I was busy.

I've received two calls from this number in the last couple of days - one via my work landline and the other via my mobile. Both times I was told they were calling about my motor vehicle accident and I had to try to talk over them to let them know that I hadn't been in any accidents and that I don't even own a car. The woman could barely speak English and just kept talking until I told them to stop ringing me and hung up. Very irritating!

But now I had a chance to answer then a na. from this line told me that this is in relation to a follow up service with regards to my motor accident 3 years ago. Its a scam coz I dont even drive.. Hope someone can look inyo this number. Becomes annoying g. Thanks

Just got the same call how they get the info is a bit sh*ty, carried on about a name Turnbull industries or turnbu something then I asked him to tell me what he was doing and he hung up,

The person who called me had an Irish sounding accent. Same story as everyone here - that I was entitled to compensation after an accident last year. Called it a 'mild inconvenience' payment that usually goes to the insurance company but they'd help me get the money which could be between $5,000-$30,000. This sounded ridiculous as someone ran into me in a car park - impact less than 5km/h! But of course they didn't have any details of the accident - due to privacy reasons of course! The guy even started asking if I noticed any pain a few days later and had to take Panadol. Thanks to everyone who has posted here - confirmed my suspicions!

I've had several calls from (02) 8188 3755. I called them back and threatened then with police action. They promised to remove my details from there records

Just got a phone call from (02) 8188 3755 saying they were following up on an accident I had and could be entitled to a lot of money. I don't remember being in any accident lately. I might go to the doctor and get my amnesia checked out. Seriously, how do these overseas callers get your name and number?

Just got a call from this number stating they were from 'Follow-up Services' & trying to help people get payment/compensation for accidents. Questioned her as to the registration of the company & who aligned with stated they weren't an insurance company. Looked for them on the net & nothing

I just got a call from them, saying I had been in an accident in the last 3yrs. He said he got my number from a web form. I don't know what that means. But yes definitely a scam.

Yep, the old motor vehicle accident. Heard the tell tale pause before they would talk, barely speak English. Wouldn't answer my question of how she got my number just kept talking. Though I am sure she heard some choice words I yelled back down the phone before I hung up. How do they get your number when it's listed on the "do not call register".

Missed the incoming call on my mobile, so called back. Immediately got the automated hold msg "your call is very important to us...". I hung up and checked the number here. After reading other posts and adding my own, my last action is to add the number to my auto-reject list.
