I think this as a result of me seeking a Car Insurance quote online, using either ISelect.com.au or captaincompare.com.au

This number is a generic outbound number used by The Suncorp Group.

yeah, this number is definitely suncorp, i applied for a job with them in nsw and they call me back using this number.
therefore it should go to their HR if not a switch board.

Phone rang once, and then hung up. Googled the number and found it on here. Another Google link was a forum for Suncorp interviews (in QLD?). The poster wrote she had "tried to call Lauren back" on this and 2 other numbers. My call may have been accidental.

Message to indicate a missed call.

Often, banks and insurers have computers that phone multiple lines at the same time, when  the multiple  lines called  has its first  responder  the other lines called become redundant.
Thus maybe 5 lines are called and when one answers the remaining  4 lines become just a ghost call.

This number is for the Suncorp Group.  If anyone calls you from inside Suncorp this number will display on your phone.  Does not matter which department.
