Not all numbers belong to Telstra, and you do realise there are other carriers besides Telstra which carry traffic across our networks... right??

Caller: An Indian lady from “Option B”

Indian accent female.
Knew my name and an old postcode from 4 years ago in a different state. I did not confirm she had the correct postcode.
Said she was calling from a company named “Option B”
Wanted to make sure I wasn’t paying too much for my energy bills. I said I’m not in charge of that.
Then she pretended like she couldn’t hear me and hung up.
Tried to call her back to tell her to take me off the call list, and a recording told me the number was temporarily out of service and the call failed.

I had a missed call from this number and When i called back, it said Temporarily out of service.

I blocked this number but they still come through annoying please I don't want any calls from them at all

That's very racist. These people are likely working for a local company. It is worth wondering how they get access to people's mobile numbers and I would hazard a guess that mobile carriers sell these numbers to companies for a fee. The mobile carriers are likely Australian, though on paper they may have majority foreign holding

They have called me numerous times about life insurance, electricity and gas. Asked them to remove me from their call list and have blocked this number.

I didn't answer though I can tell from here that's spam.
