This was a missed number on my phone.

Rang it back with ID switched off and went through to an answering machine that identified as Contact Professionals.

Recorded message asked to leave a message and someone would call back.

Recorded message also said that if I wanted my number to be placed on the Do Not Call Register then to leave my number and it would be registered within 48 hours.

Couple of points:
Rang the number during normal business hours, shouldn't have gone through to an answering machine.

Leaving my name and number for an unknown organisation where I didn't initiate the contact seems suspicious.

Being asked to leave my number so that it can be added to the Do Not Call Register is a definite proof that this is a telemarketer, scammer or similar.

If I want to register my number on the Do Not Call Register then there is a specific number to call for that.

Number is now blocked.
