Recorded message threatening severe legal action, arrest etc in regard to outstanding tax issues. Could be very frightening if unaware it is a scam.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
Automated male voice connects immediately with message that I had been identified as a delinquent tax account, all 'registered' mail had been returned and that legal action was being taken including a warrant for my arrest. Likely that they want your details as part of an identity theft scam - DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING!! My elderly mother would probably give them an earful but many would not be so strong. They are nothing but scum and should be prosecuted themselves!

Received automated voice call stating it's from the ATO who are serving me with a notice on tax fraud and issuing me with a summons and to call (02) 8103 3051 to rectify. Pricks already had my name and address. It all sounded pretty legit. Find these f*ckers and prosecute them to the full extent of the law... although they're probably based O/S.

Got this today on my answering machine. Didn't get the first part of the messages but was an automated message in male English accent making accusations of tax avoidance without giving his name or addressing the alleged fraud. Complete scam.

I received the same recorded message twice within a couple of hours, today. I was told to "Press 1" to speak to a "concerned officer" or ring (02) 8103 3051 to avoid arrest. It came from number 8301 3051. It annoyed me in that I am concerned some people might be fooled by it. After reporting the numbers I deleted the messages.
