My husband answered call at just past 5pm. It was one of those "goodbye" when you answer. We get these at least a couple of times a day.

Just missed call from this number and when I called back it says the person on the extension is unavailable so I left a message...and you don't want to know what the message was but put it this way...I ripped them a new one that's for sure.:)

These calls come regularly but because I don't know the number I have blocked it. Blocking it though does not stop the calls ringing!

Just happened to me - again - (02) 8103 2051. Luckily I have the caller's number on phone. I let it ring long enough to write the number, picked up phone and hit "end".

Rings nearly daily about the same time (early evening) - I let my answer machine answer it and the caller never leaves a message.

Thanks for your posts! Will block number. I always check here before answering or calling an unknown number. Anything more just encourages them, and aggravates me.

Left a recorded message on my home answering machine saying that unless I called back with information a warrant for my arrest would be executed because of unpaid taxes. I phoned back but the phone rang several times and then went silent. This is an unnerving type of call.

Not optus or telstra, some scammer claiming something about government incentives.

Tried to leave a message - telling them to leave me alone. But the mail box is full. Why can't Telstra stop this scam?
