A recorded message plays (male with American accent) purporting to be from the Australian Taxation Department in Sydney and threatening legal action in the Federal Claims Count (neither organisation exists in Australia). Have had this message previously from different numbers also reported as scam and often uses different names (this time was Ron Watson), but always American accent.

I've had a number of these calls - thanks for the heads up!

Jason had a decidedly Indian voice. Rang 3 times over 3 days, with an identical message, meaning it was pre-recorded.

Received the same message this afternoon. Warrant for YOUR arrest!

Got this call on mobile and home phone within seconds. Same scam legal action from Aust Taxation "Jason" Asian accent.

I waited on the line and then just received a recorded "Goodbye".

Received similar message - quite aggressive. Definite scam. BEWARE!
