As no-one seems to have the authority to protect us from harrassing callers, I have now developed my own technology to deal with it. The callers phone melts in their hands. 10 sec later the fire alarm goes off. 5min later the building explodes.

Caller: IInet They keep calling . All recorded and want to put you on hold. Telling me my account has been suspended due to non payment & continuing to call even though I want it cancelled as they have no customer service anymore. Joined as netspace with live operators and helpful staff but not interested in iinet. Will not renew with iinet as no human customer service everything is automated. Calling both home & mobile this is now harrassment. As soon as I hear iinet I just hang up.

Caller: iinet Billing This is was a legitimate text message about my iinet account. My automatic payment had failed. I called iinet directly rather than use the links on the text message to verify this as I thought it might be a scam.

Caller: iinet It was iiNet and in my case, legit. The credit card associated with an internet service had expired. They were following up before suspension or disconnection.

Purported to be Iinet, but they claim it is not them, it is spam. Came up on my mobile as Iinet. I rang it back on landline, and recorded voice said Iinet.

Caller: iiNet iiNet's annoying automated "important message". 4 calls in 10 hours today. They repeatedly send emails (last 2 months) explicitly stating they will cancel my account if I don't take action - which is exactly what I want, and so I don't reply - but then they actually don't cancel it! Instead, they send another monthly invoice for a service I haven't used in over 2 months now, and then harrass via these "private number" phone calls to try and get payment for the invoice. Same crap (fka)TeleChoice used to do (..still does?)
