I also had this problem. Rung numerous times with no message left and the times I did answer in time I got hung up on repeatedly. Rang the ADMS number provided by DOC and got same waffle (though they say they don't hang up...yeah right). They said it would stop in one night. Also advised COMMBANK was the party who provided them my number.One way to maybe also stop this is to hurt their (ADMS) bottom line by going to the source.In my case I rang Commbank and told them how unhappy (to put it mildly) I was and how P----- off their customers are getting (not a great way to improve sales) They were quite happy to get this info.... maybe they will give ADMS the flick if enough people complain.That might get them listening (or as the case may be "talking" instead of hanging up!)

(listed 4th May, 2010)Thanks for the helpful info I've had my number removed - the lady said that the calls are automated through a machine which calls a bunch of numbers at the same time and the first number from the handful is who speaks to someone. She said the machine then will automatically hang up on hung up on every other number who answers after it.

I got a call from this number this morning, i missed it, but called back and got the same message as everyone else.I wouldnt be suprised if the NRMA is using that number, I got a text from them yesterday telling me to renew my membership..

Keep getting phone calls from this number I phoned back and there was an answering machine. Now I am worried.

perhaps they intend to leave a message and get you to retrieve it from your telco message service, which you would pay for.
