i just called this number:

(02) 8207 9000 (as noted above by Doc)

and asked for my number to be removed from their list. The lady said it will take a couple of days, and i wont be contacted again! We'll see what happens...

I got a call today from this no and hung up as soon as I mentioned my name. And when tried to call back got the same voice message as others above. This really needs to be investigated.

they try to call me 3 time a day  they say they call from NRMA they take the personal detial and credid card holder to pay insurance

(listed 4th May, 2010)Thanks for the helpful info I've had my number removed - the lady said that the calls are automated through a machine which calls a bunch of numbers at the same time and the first number from the handful is who speaks to someone. She said the machine then will automatically hang up on hung up on every other number who answers after it.

I just got one too.I said hi and then they hung up.Called back just to get the same message as everyone else.
