This is exactly the same for me. They call once in the morning about 10am then once in the arvo about 4pm. If i answer its just silence for 5-7 seconds then it disconnects!

The calls have been coming through to my direct line in Adelaide. Had about five of them in the past few days. Phone rings. I answer. They hang up and the calls are logged at between 5-7 seconds.

MLC life insurance on behalf of nab. I got their letter week before. They just keep talking and don't shut up. And my super has life insurance anyway.

Had quite a few calls from this number at my work. No-one speaks when I answer, and the call drops out a few seconds later. Have called it back and a voice recording states something along the lines of:You have been contacted by a hosted contact service, you may be contacted again in the future, goodbye.

Just had a call from this number, claiming to be from avon marketing acting on behalf of commonwealth bank. sounded v dodgy, he was pretty cagey so i hung up! i don't trust anything from banks unless its through my netbank email!

The same as abive (Karla). Also, after doing a search on the net I found out that this number (02) 8094 4400) has been used to make calls for some time now (to mobiles).
