I was overseas and got 4-5 missed calls a day from this number but never picked it up. Interestingly it stopped when I got back into Australia...

sounds like a scam though, I never received any life insurance papers as others have said they did.

Apparently Suncorp but everytime I pick up (they have called 8 times now) they hang up in my ear. Called the number back and a automatic message claims to be suncorp, providing infomation on insurance, and provides another number (1800....) to call to learn more about products or cancel the calls. Im not going to call this number as suspicious given that nobody actually talks to me - only hangs up after I answer. Looked up SCAMwatch http://www.scamwatch.gov.au/content/index.phtml/tag/MissedCallsTextMessages which makes me further suspicious...
If it keeps happening I will call Suncorp direct and try getting the number blocked with my provider as its more than a little annoying

These people call my mobile at least 6 times a day - driving me mad!!! Will now complain.

Received numerous calls from representatives of Suncorp over 7 days. They will request your name and address which should be refused. Such activity borders on harassment and in the event Suncorp refuses to remove your number from their list, you should advise that their actions will be made subject of a complaint to the police. This tends to have the desired result.

This number keeps calling but hangs up when I answer it.

I've had no less than 20 missed calls from these guys over the last few days.. I wanted to find out who they were first.. This site worked a treat :)
I too, have just had life insurance papers mailed to me from suncorp.. Now I can answer the call and tell them where they can put those papers... How Very Annoying Of Them !!

Just got a call from these guys- picked it up.. Identified themselves as suncorp "direct call - call center" telemarketing essentially.

When I called back I got a message directing me to contact the Suncorp call centre directly. Gawd, as if.
Am on the do not call register and have just re-registered to hopefully avoid this in the future.

I had just had a call from the same number and apparently was calling on behalf of Suncorp about Life Insurance. Told me they had sent out paperwork to which I replied that I hadnt seen any. Basically told me "Well we sent it, so you must have got it." I let him woffle on a little and when asked for my date of birth I said i was not comfortable giving that over the phone. He then said he would transfer me to his supervisor to make sure everything was legit. I said I wouldnt like to speak to his supervisor as I believed it was some sort of scam and he advised that "they have my file open" whilst he was talking to me. I asked how this could be the case as I have NEVER been a customer of suncorp? To this reply, he said I will call back later and hung up....   Something very fish going on here...
