The NRMA called me on my mobile. I pulled over in traffic. Most annoyed it was a sales call. I understood the NRMA was about road safety not causing accidents. If they persist I will take action

this number is legit, if you miss it and call back it tells you to call 13 11 22 option 3 which is nrma's legit number.

and heard on the radio about the tablet offer and I purchased one over the phone great deal!!!.

PS last year when it happened I knew it was legitimate because they had my NRMA account information and knew my account had just expired and I had also received a text message reminding me to renew. I understand that they're just trying to keep their members but calling unexpectedly from an unknown number PLUS using non Australian staff to do it isn't doing them much good as we can see here; people get suspicious and ignore the calls.

I got a call from this number which I ignored.  I note that earlier on in the week I also got a call from another number starting with 8094 ....It seems that it may be a company/group that is paid to either chase money or charity donations.  No doubt one of those "become a millionaire" in your own home gigs that are advertised regularly.  My advice, ignore all calls from any one with a number starting (02) 8094....

I got this number phone from NRMA services saying to renew my membership before it runs out. "How would you like to pay credit card, VISA" in english indian accent.  Was this really the NRMA and why would they ask for my credit details over phone? Needless to say I said "No thankyou" and hung up. The NRMA? person rang at 4:39pm on 25-8-11 from this number (02) 8094 3820.

interesting ... i got called on my mobile & actually missed the call & only became aware when Telstra advised me of it.After reading the above comments I will ignore it .. if it is either important or genuine they will call again & i can judge then what action to take.

JD

you have been contacted by a hosted contact center service, you may be called again in the future, thankyou, goodbye.

I've missed a couple of calls from this number in the last couple of days - I called back and it had an automated message saying that I had been contacted by the NRMA and gave a 1300 number to call. From the above comments, sounds a bit dodgy to me..
