Caller started conversation by telling me that I was registered for online trading. RUBBISH!
If this is Westpac as other suggest, they need to be dragged back to the Royal Commission!

This number has been calling me for about a month. As others has mentioned they believe it is Westpac. I do have an account with them. However no big bank operates in this way! I have received several messages also asking permission for them to deduct funds from my account! How do I know it's a scam? They are using prefixes from my OLD debit card, which was replaced over six months ago. DO NOT ANSWER!!!

I am still getting calls from this nunber. Daily 10 time i got a call from this number.saying by the computer..its an important message for.......from westpac..press any key to continue.


And some times..they call with private..with blocked id..its all scam..

Agree w all here. If they don’t leave a message then it is probably spam. Do not ring them back. Or any unknown missed calls.

Don’t give any info out, why.... because they rang for my wife, calling saying they was from westpac. My wife has no account or anything to do with westpac but yet they wanted her to confirm her westpac banking details.... yeah whatever scammer.

Caller: There is NO WAY to be CERTAIN the number is legit - treat this info like an email address

The world that we live in now, don't assume that just because it is a Westpac number it's legit. We have learned recently that scammers can "spoof" a phone number to pose as somebody you might do business with. It might be the bank or not, we cannot be sure. Do not give any information to cold callers, call the bank yourself if needs be.

Too many idiots post rubbish comments saying its a scam and otherwise, its their collection service saying a payment is needed to me made. Anon numbers from there are from their overseas call centres
