Just got a prank call from the number only rang once then they hung up .

Just got this call from the same number. Never have I experienced a recorded telemarketing call like this before, it stated that it follows the laws that are made through the 'Do Not Call' list. Which is completely bizarre considering that we are listed on there, no idea how they found our number or even if this approach is legal.

It stated to press '2' to be removed from this list, being suspicious I only preceded to hang up in case this subscribed us in to the service as a trick.

This annoying call interrupted me today

Called my work mobile, and, as with any automated call i hung up. Then googled the buggers to find out some more.

Don't know about the legalities but surely these guys are pushing the boundaries... i think they are going to get more haters than lovers with this approach.

I received two calls from this number today!! Glad I didn't return the call. These people are a pain in the you know what!!

Just checked out the website for this mob of ambo chasers "Australian Injury Compensation" and rang them on their 1800 734 880 number. They said that they use a computer generated list of numbers and just dial them all to see who bites. Not sure if this could be true - they could run up against the 'DO NOT CALL' register unless they compare the list to the register first. There are BIG fines from ACMA if they call a number on the register. Regardless, I might put my mobile number on the register anyway. It works beautifully for my home phone: www.donotcall.gov.au
