Robotcall about tax fraud and action will be taken against me I pressed 1 for more info a male answered indian accent informing me that I will be arrested if I didn't pay the fine, he did not know my names or date of birth?! Scam

warned me that i was being sued (didn't say what for?) and if I don't return the call they "will get me arrested." That's not really good legalese. I used to work in the Legal dept. of a very popular government Department (hence the need for a Legals area) and this call was super dodgy. Organisations STILL send you letters telling you that you may have to go court. At least I assume that is still a legal reuirement. A phone call is difficult to prove you are who you say you are (they didn't tell me who they were representing either.). Annoying scam. Even more annoying is the Do Not Call Register is totally useless.

They really don't like it when you ring the back and tell them a story. then they stop answering.. never give your name but tell them a fun story.

SCAM automated voice saying I owed money to the Australian Tax office

I really would like to call the number this robot repeated twice. But I didn't have enough time to record it, because it spoke really too fast. What can I do? Unlike those who like to ignore such phone calls, I really enjoy talking these people .

Random ATO audit of my tax returns between 2013 and 2018 owing to incorrect calculations in my returns for that period. Advised there was legal action against me. ATO Order for $900.00 + against me.

Same as others... robot scam message left on my mobile voice mail saying they will issue warrant for arrest. Number blocked. I hope the authorities are reading this page to chase them down.

Had a missed call. Rang back and they they were from the Australian Tax Office. I replied, “You are from the tax office are you?’ Got no reply and they hung up. SCAM

received scam call today.....

Same number no doubt the same robot telling me I’m being investigated following a tax audit. Plenty of these going around which no doubt do catch some people out.

Caller: Fake ATO (scammers)

Scam Number with a pre-recorded message claiming to be the ATO and that I had to call a certain number immediately. If I didn't call them back, I will get arrested and put in jail! Sounds like Indian scammers using Google Translate to get a Western voice on the recording... Lol

Yeah left message re lawsuit against me..message actually translated to suitcase against me! but freaked me out....anyway...haven't done anything wrong so figured it was a scam..thanks for reassurance
