Yes, the same idiot tried the trick on me also . I suspected scam from the moment he said to install team viewer. Luckily I disconnected my laptop from network .

This number was In an email that was clearly a scam. Don’t respond to it.

I called 1800 861 186 number after failed attempt to log in to PayPal a/c. A man with a very strong Indian accent picked up posing as a PayPal Security team advising my account has been compromised and the need to protect my computer. The hacker left the number to call back (02) 8091 6514 to be believed a legit PayPal employee’s direct number at Cyber security department. Said need to install a firewall on my computer to protect from hackers. Got access through team viewer to my computer. As a result I’ve lost $20K and ended up with malware installed on my laptop. Reported to police and my bank. Had the laptop professionally cleaned up to remove malware. Don’t count on bank to investigate or recover the money. Been told my fault, no guarantee to recover the money from the receiver’s bank. Be very careful. The person on this number is a hacker.
