Robo call saying I was issued with warrant for tax evasion. If you call back gets picked up immediately. Funny that, this never happens when calling ATO. :-)

Same thing just that there’s a law suit being filed against me and if I don’t call them back a warrant will be issued for my arrest! Thing is they called my work phone which isn’t connected to my name and I don’t give that number out unless for work reasons then I received same on my personal number so I tried to call them back and they won’t pick up! Sounds like a big scam to me! Be aware I’ve heard of scams that they just need you to say yes and state name and address and they can steal your identity!!

Caller: Scammer using an automated message purporting to be from the Australian Taxation Office.

The scammer threatened me with arrest if I did not call back (02) 8091 5991. Presumably if I call the scammer back, s/he will ask for payment of a supposed tax debt using iTunes cards or something similar.

Just received the same voicemail as well. Ignored.

Whoever they are, they should f*ck off before I kill them.

Indian caller said he was from the Investigaions Department of the Australian Tax Office calling about an outstanding tax debt. He eventually ended the call after I had about 5 minutes of fun with him. Seems he has actually block my number ha ha ha. Bloody scammers.
