Someone called me claiming to be from NAB calling about my card number ending in XXX - which was right. They advised that they were calling because of 3 suspicious charges on my account and asked if I paid them. I stated I hadn't and then he told me they were calling as the charges were listed as being from Brisbane but my address flagged it because i live at XXX - he had my full address. He then directed me to an email from the NAB Security Team which should be in my email to which I questioned the address it was sent from - I had also noticed that it showed as Commbank in the brief preview - but he stated it was randomised emails they were sending it from in the system for security.
Then I was told one payment went through, but he had cancelled my card and the other 2 transactions were bounced. I asked how that could be if I didnt have the available funds in my account, to which he asked.... for security, what is the balance on your account.... XXX.... At this point, I told him that I wasnt comfortable giving out those details because he called me and I would be more comfortable calling the bank back and talking to someone that way. INSTANT END OF CALL!
BEWARE: I did call the bank and got a new card issued, but be warned.... it was very convincing and the fact he had all my details was insane! And scary! Dont give any details out! Just be wary! Hang up and call your bank back!
My bank did tell me it is common for scammers to get addresses, names, emails and the last 4 digits from online purchases, but they will never have the full number and that is what they are trying to get!

Spam call, most likely a scammer. Hang up, block them.

I rang this number and no one picked up. When I googled the company name on the email signature, the phone number didn't match that of the company name.

Rang our offices, demanded to speak to business owner. We advised owner doesn't come in, will need to take a message to pass onto Manager. Person was forcefully saying they would keep calling back to speak to business owner directly.
We kept repeating that we answer the phones, and he would have to leave a message for the manager. He said he wanted to talk about 'connections' and would call back, then he hung up before we could respond.
