Caller: Supposedly Norton’s help line Name Sam

Unsure because tried to sell me add ons for my Norton’s renewal key. Requested permission for remote access to computer to fix Norton download via Chat and phone!

Scam. Caller with a heavy international accent said they were a financial thing and hung up on me when I said I wasn’t interested. Third time they call this week.

Caller: Norton help scan

I gave this bloke remote access same as above but I got sus when he asked me to download more programs. Anyone know if this is virus/melware related scam or just trying to get people to buy stuff they don't need???

Spoke to Norton technical support as had error when downloading Norton on my phone / attached phone to my computer and Jack remote logged in / checked system and told me I needed to purchase all these programs at a cost of hundreds of dollars and wanted to give me a link to click on. I said no and called a computer repair guy who checked computer and told me don’t need any of what they wanted me to buy. He helped me install Norton on my phone and fixed my computer as it was running slow. The upsell by Norton was not required and was just the company trying to get money for nothing

I had the same thing happen to me and I think Norton have been hacked. Did you go ahead with Sam.
