This is for those who have certain understanding. This is partly covert but also part of marketing. The 'bait' is the telephone number e.g. (02) 8091 5010. Bloggers have told us they have called this number/got no answer, etc but the 'hook' is putting it into your PC. The rest my friend is history until you purge your PC. A sort of quiet 'trogen'. Haven't worked out its real purpose (I'm still getting evidence and telstra are the last people to get evidence from) What I have noticed is a small pattern where a marketing company ring my number and even if a crystal ball could work, they know what merchandise/services to target for me. I have worked covert all my life and I know it when I see it. There is a new burglar on the b lock and his name isn't hamburglar. Be very careful with this type of call. More to follow, it may be also a covert op using marketing to find out more ab o ut you.

I have had numerous calls from this number over the past few weeks , always the same , silence then a voice says "goodbye" and hangs up. Deciding this morning enough was enough I rang the number back, NO ANSWER .

Answered the call and then after several moments of silence a digitised female voice says "Goodbye". I captured the number and called back, but no answer.

I get called say once every couple of months, I answer the call, the caller hangs up, this is the first time I have been able to capture a number. Unable to return the call, to find out who called, it seems to be constantly engaged.
